Dear Fellow Maryknollers,
Re: Appeal for Exhibit Items for Heritage Exhibition in November 2007
This is a year of celebration for Maryknoll as 2007 marks the 70 th Anniversary of our primary school building. It was in May 1937 that the Maryknoll Sisters and young students moved into the beautiful red brick structure, which is the icon of our school as well as a landmark on Waterloo Road.
The crowning event for this celebration will be the Heritage Exhibition to be held on November 3 rd, 4 th, 10 th and 11 th at our Primary Section. It will feature the story of Maryknoll over the years. Photographs and artifacts from private collections, records and documents from the archives will be shown to tell you how from humble beginnings, the Maryknoll mission has helped to develop and groom young girls into responsible citizens. Film clips and talks about Maryknoll history, alumnae, and present school lives will also be featured at the Exhibition.
The Exhibition will be open to public and it will provide an excellent and rare opportunity for everyone to know more about the Maryknoll history, heritage, mission and vision. It will also be the best chance for all of us as Maryknollers to revisit our School, and to share with our families and friends the wonderful memories that Maryknoll has given to each of us.
In order to make this meaningful Exhibition successful, we would like to appeal to all former students for items, whether it may be a badge, notebook, uniform or anything that relates to your old school days. Your contribution and support to this event will be most appreciated. Please take a look at the attached form and we look forward to seeing all of you at the Exhibition, when all Maryknollers are gathered together to revisit and reminisce their wonderful memories at Maryknoll.
