Form 4 students enjoyed a half-day visit to the News Expo on 11 April, led by veteran journalists from media organisations such as South China Morning Post and RTHK. The students were introduced to the evolution of local media from its infancy in the forms of newspaper and radio to television and now the different online outlets. They also had a taste of being anchors and reporters.

The visit has enhanced students’ information literacy by raising their awareness of false information and privacy issues. Through interactive games in experiential studios, students were prompted to reflect on the opportunities and challenges brought by digital media to Hong Kong’s social development.
