Lenten Prayer Service

Lenten Prayer Service

03/03/2026

On 3 March 2026 (Tuesday), the school gathered for a prayer service to celebrate Lent, a 40 - day Catholic season leading up to Easter.

The service began with students introducing the meaning of Lent, a period of prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and repentance. Students were encouraged to practice contemplation and action upon God’s will, especially during Lent. During the prayer service, all students participated in a Bible reading with Sr Sue. We reflected on the day Jesus died on the cross, sacrificing himself and suffering to bear our sins. As we read, we thought of our wrongdoings and worries, and asked God for His forgiveness and mercy.

After the prayer service, students were filled with peace and hope, encouraged to pray and reflect daily, growing spiritually in preparation for Easter.
