The Centenary Play — ‘Living Out the Maryknoll Spirit’ — was the perfect finale for our centenary celebrations, taking place on 18 and 19 July. The play offered an immersive experience to our visitors, who were transformed into Maryknoll students and lived out a day as a Maryknoller.

This play started right as Prefects greeted the visitors and welcomed them to their classrooms. They explored the core values of Maryknoll through watching drama performances, witnessing the grandeur of the May Crowning, listening to the energetic cheers from our houses, and finally becoming a Maryknoll graduate.

Despite unpredictable weather conditions, everyone was determined for the event to succeed. Immediate contingency plans were made and carried out, demonstrating the agility and the dedication of Maryknollers.

With the Centenary Play, all centenary celebrations have come to a bittersweet end. The centenary was not only a milestone year when we reminisce the past, but also the beginning of another century of our school’s bright future. Let us carry the Maryknoll spirit forward, as we have been doing in the past century.
