School Anniversary Prayer Service
On 11 February 2026, we celebrated the 101st anniversary of our school with a prayer service to honour the efforts that contributed to this remarkable milestone.
Participants were enlightened by students’ sharing about their 16-day pilgrimage to Rome during the summer to commemorate the 2025 Jubilee. They took part in activities such as visiting the Holy Door of St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, deepening their faith in God in the process.
At the same time, we celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong. Throughout the years, the Diocese has made efforts to better the well-being of our community, in addition to its apostolic work.
Ms Christina Lee, our school supervisor, concluded the celebration with a sharing about the founding of the school, the impactful feats of Mother Mary Joseph, Sr Mary Paul McKenna, and Sr Claudette LaVerdiere, as well as the myriads of challenges faced by the first missionaries.
The prayer service celebrated the perseverance of the Maryknoll Sisters — from the school that taught twelve students a century ago to the vast Maryknoll community today. Together, we cultivated a sense of gratitude and admiration for their devotion.
